We’ve had a goal of visiting every cafe in Santa Barbara. After having done so (we believe), we’ve found, beyond compare that the Santa Barbara Roasting Company (SBRC) is the best place in Santa Barbara to get a great cup of coffee. There are many great cafes in Santa Barbara but none capture the essence of what you would expect in a coffee shop quite as well as the SBRC. First, there is a wide variety of local and exotic coffee to select from. So, you can truly find something unique to fit your taste and it’s in the open for you to choose. They grind the beans in the store and use fresh coffee beans to make the coffee. Also, the focus is on the coffee instead of the logo or the size of the cup. We particularly liked the space, which came with high ceilings and enough room to sit comfortably while still maintaining ambiance. The Santa Barbara Roasting Company also does a good job of keeping a local Santa Barbara feel with the surf boards that adorn the walls.

The only challenge we had with the SBRC was finding it but then maybe that’s what the locals want!
