Today Saturday, May 7, 2011 Solvang hosted the Return of the Rancheros where 700 – 1000 cowboys and 30-35 wagons rode to the Old Mission for a blessing from the priest at 2:30 and then continued on through the city of Solvang and back to the Old Mission for a rodeo and fiesta after having camped out on Friday on the outskirts of the city.

“It’s been pretty much unchanged size 1930,” the Visitadores General Manager John Balch is quoted as saying.

This event brought cowboys together from all over the US and even brought some Canadian riders into town. And the cowboys seem to have attracted a few of their own interested parties. These two cowgirls were ready to for the rodeo and the fiesta.
