We went looking for some breakfast in Santa Barbara and wow, did we find the right place.
We walked into what we thought was going to be a normal diner and found an amazing unexpected touch of Italy that took us back to our travels in Europe. The waiter spoke Italian, the food was all made with Italian food, the restaurant was decorated with Italian memorabilia. It was great and the best part of the experience was the food. I had the Breakfast Milano, which was fantastic. The eggs are organic and the cheese they use complements the ham and eggs perfectly. Not surprisingly, the cooks too were Italian and wow did they know what they were doing. So, if you get the chance, be sure to stop in at Via Maestra 42 for some incredible food. And be on the look out for some well known actors. Although the restaurant brought us back to Europe the famous actor we spotted brought us “Back to the Future” in his well known movie. We left Christopher Lloyd in peace without snapping any shots because we feel everyone should be able to enjoy their breakfast in peace.

3. Parking can be quite difficult as the restaurants is located in a busy location.
Overall.

We strongly recommend going for breakfast or having a cappuccino at Via Maestra 42. The food was the breakfast was the best we’ve had in California!
